It is crazy how nine months can go by so fast and so slow at the same time! I was so eager to get my little bundle of joy here. This picture was taken the morning of June 13, 2011 right before we headed to the hospital. I was so excited and a little nervous for the unknown. I was induced at 6:30 am and my sweet baby arrived at 2:55 pm. The labor went much more quickly then the doctors anticipated.
Nick was an amazing help to me while I was in pain. I was so grateful to have my best friend by my side. My parents were also a great support and it was so fun to have them in Texas with us during this special time.

Honeymoon in ST. Thomas (US Virgin Island)

If you have ever seen the movie just married..haha that is exactly how our honeymoon started out! A little bit crazy. Our flight was actually scheduled for a day later then we thought..so we have already learned to be flexible with our plans. We stayed a night in Florida because our flight to st. Thomas wasn't until the next day. On expedia the hotel didn't look that bad...oh my gosh. It was tiny and looked like it came straight out of an eighties horror movie, even down to the cockroach we found and the rat poisoning in the corner. It was so funny and definitely unforgettable. I started to get really worried that this kind of thing might continue...but luckily st. Thomas was awesome and we had a blast. Mostly we hung out on the different beaches and enjoyed our time together in the sun. It was pretty interesting driving on the other side of the road, I'm glad nick was so good at it cuz I would have killed us. It was like a dream and we would have loved to stay longer!
Our journey home was about as hilarious as getting there... we got on a shuttle early in the morning and we were off to the airport. Well we were cutting it kinda close so we were in a hurry to grab our bags and get in line. Well I had on a backpack to when we arrive I headed straight to the line while nick grabbed the suitcase from the back of the shuttle. Well after we stood there for a while...we realised that we only had two bags and our other one was still in the van. I went to go through security while nick waited for the shuttle to return because the line was forever long. Well a long story short I called nick when the gentleman at the gate told me he only had four minutes to get on the plane or they were taking off. Haha well the next thing I see is Nicholas running through the airport with his belt and shoes in his hand...I wish I had it on video. But we made it...so It turned out great!

Elementary Sweethearts

In life we never know when we will meet the person we are supposed to spend eternity with... As for Nicholas and I this happend at the sweet age of ten! I have always believed in fairytales, but I had no idea that I would have my very own... His Sister was dating my brother when we were young so we had the opportunity to spend a lot of time together. I couldn't believe how perfect he was and that I had already found the boy that I was going to marry. Well things soon changed with nick's family moving to boise while leaving us worlds apart. He left me with a broken heart and a promise to upgrade the 25 cent ring that he put on my finger. We wrote a
few letters back and forth, but soon got busy with friend and the life that was directly if front of us.
Years passed with no contact...only those brief moments were I would think of him as a cute little boy and wonder where he ended up and what his life was like. Well it turned out 14 years later that all it took was courage to follow my heart mixed with a little technology...and here we are! I had no idea that he was serious about the ring upgrade..haha but it works for me.
